A FLOOD warning remains in place for the Ceredigion coastline following the battering from Storm Ciara at the weekend.
Winds up to 80mph and heavy rain battered the Cardigan area, bringing down a number of trees and leading to transport disruption and strong winds and squally, heavy showers are still forecast by the Met Office.
A spokesman for Natural Resources Wales said: “Tides are rising towards a period of spring tides and these peak on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 of February.
“Please avoid coastal areas at high tide as there could be dangerous conditions: strong winds; sea spray; and wave overtopping at the most exposed locations. Wave overtopping can be dangerous and can contain debris.
“Impacts are likely to continue during high tides into Monday and for the remainder of next week with the unsettled weather conditions expected to continue. Will we continue to monitor the situation and update this message as required.”
