A NEWCASTLE Emlyn man has been banned from the roads for drug-driving.
Sebastion Turner, of Sycamore Street, Newcastle Emlyn, pleaded guilty to driving a VW Passat on the B4333 at Lloyds Terrace, Adpar on July 6, when the proportion of cannabis in his blood stream exceeded the specified limit.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre banned the 24-year-old from driving for 12 months and fined him £230, along with £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
Turner also pleaded guilty to possessing 27 grams of cannabis on the same date, for which he was given a 12-month conditional discharge. Magistrates ordered the drugs to be destroyed.
