TWO lads caught throwing eggs at properties in Newcastle Emlyn over the Halloween period have written letters of apology.
The youngsters had thrown eggs at the toilets, church, library and a property in Castle Street and were tracked down by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team using the town’s CCTV system.
Police visited the parents of the two involved and they have both written letters of apology.
PCSO Jeff Kedward told a meeting of Newcastle Emlyn Town Council both youngsters had also received a stage one anti-social behaviour letter warning them as to their future conduct.
Town mayor Cllr Alan Jones said: "What might seem as petty crimes to some can be very disturbing to others, particularly the elderly and vulnerable."
Police are also looking at cracking down on graffiti in the town.
