A BLAENPORTH man is to stand trial on a string of animal cruelty offences.
Toby William Holland, of Maengwyn Farm, Blaenporth, Cardigan, pleaded not guilty to 10 charges when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Among the charges was causing unnecessary suffering to a sheep on or before January 29 at Maengwyn Farm; failing to comply with animal by-product regulations; causing unnecessary suffering to 19 pigs and failure to comply with enforcement notices.
The 48-year-old was remanded on unconditional bail and is scheduled to reappear before the court on February 3-4 for a two-day trial.
