A VAN driver found guilty of drink-driving between Newcastle Emlyn and Carmarthen has been banned from the roads for 17 months.
Andrew John Brookman, of Y Gilfach, Ystalyfera, Neath, Port Talbot, had denied driving with excess alcohol on the A484 on August 24 when he appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
The court was told that Brookman had 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Finding him guilty, as well as a 17-month driving ban, magistrates fined the 45-year-old £300 and ordered him to pay £625 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
