A CARDIGAN man who breached the terms of a restraining order has been fined after appearing in court.
Matthew Liam Roche, of Melin y Dre, Cardigan, pleaded guilty to communicating with the woman between July 28 and 31 when he was prevented from doing so by a restraining order imposed by the courts in June.
Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre fined the 26-year-old £80 with £85 prosecution costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
A charge of assaulting a man in Cardigan of July 28, to which Roche pleaded not guilty, was discontinued.
