A YOUNG Rhydlewis driver who had a bald tyre and illegal number plate on his car will have to pay more than £550 in fines and costs.
Archie Davis, aged 18, of Rhydlewis, Llandysul, was stopped by police while driving a Fiat Seicento on the A487 at Synod Inn in the early hours of June 2.
The front nearside tyre of the car had the ply or cord exposed, while the front number plate was illegal.
Davis had indicated a plea of guilty at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court, where he was fined £293 for the illegal tyre and £146 for the number plate offence. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
Three penalty points were also added to his licence.
