DOES Cardigan need a dog park where pooches can bomb around to their hearts’ content?
The idea was suggested by Cllr Richard Jones at a meeting of the town council, where members heard that plants had been damaged at Victoria Gardens after dogs ran through the flower beds.
Councillors thought that dogs should be kept on a lead in Victoria Gardens but it was not clear if there were signs up.
“Do we need a dog park?” asked Cllr Jones.
Dog owner Cllr Yve O’Neill added: “There are not many places where you can let your dog off the lead and let it have a good run.”
“Maybe it is something we could look at in the future,” said Cardigan mayor Cllr Shan Williams.
