AN Aberporth man has been banned from the roads for 18 months after admitting drink-driving.
John Beacon, of Hillfield Road, Parcllyn, Aberporth, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Zafira at Parcllyn on June 6 while exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit.
Beacon had 65 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
As well as the driving ban, magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre fined the 54-year-old £120, along with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
