A CEREDIGION man has appeared in court accused of carrying out a string of frauds – including two in Cardigan.
Dean Morgan Evans, of Masons Row, Aberaeron, faced five charges when he appeared before magistrates at Abersytwyth Justice Centre.
One charge related to buying meat from Tom Samways butchers in Cardigan and another to buying tyres from GT Tyres in the town. It is alleged Evans paid by cheque, knowing there was insufficient funds in his account.
Three further frauds are alleged to have been committed in Aberaeron and Aberystwyth – those three charges totalling more than £7,500.
The 36-year old was remanded on conditional bail to reappear before magistrates on February 20. No plea has yet been entered.
