CARDIGAN Castle has been handed a new quality assurance award as an accredited Visitor Attraction following a recent appraisal from Visit Wales.

Accompanying this award were two additional awards - for Best Told Story 2019 and a Café Quality Award for outstanding food and beverage provision.

These awards are in addition to the 5* and 4* awards given to the castle’s self-catered and B&B accommodation respectively.

Castle director Jac Davies said: “These awards recognise not only the contribution and hard work of existing staff and volunteers, but also the work done over the year to tell our incredible and unique story.

“I am also delighted that 1176 has been recognised for the excellent quality of food and service which has been developed under the stewardship of Tom Holden.

“All in all we can offer an excellent quality visitor experience across all our business areas”

The castle has also risen to the top of Trip Advisor rankings for accommodation in the area as well as scooping quality accreditation from global booking giant Booking.com and the Lonely Planet Travel Guide.
