A DRINK-driver who failed to stop after an accident has been banned from the roads for 20 months and fined.

Daniel Davies, of Cartref, Gorsgoch, Llanybydder, admitted driving a Ford Focus on the B4338 at Llanybydder on December 15 while more than double the drink-drive limit. He had 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

The 49-year-old also admitted hitting a wall on the A485 at Llanybydder and failing to stop.

Magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre banned Davies from driving for 20 months and fined him £300. He was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
