A Cardigan man was arrested after failing to keep authorities updated of a change of address.

Gareth Thomas James Flynn, of Castle Street, appeared from custody at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Wednesday, November 21.

Flynn, who is subject to a sexual offences prevention order imposed by Swansea crown court, admitted failing to inform the police when he moved to the Cardigan address on November 18.

The court heard that Flynn visited the probation service and moved to the town after being released from custody.

Representing himself, Flynn told the bench that he needed help for his ‘vulnerabilities’ and believed he had seven days rather than three to update the authorities of a change of address

He said: “It was not explained clearly enough.

“I really did not want to go to Cardigan.

“I am supposed to be getting help from some people, but no-body wants to help in this society.”

Flynn, 40, formerly of Pembroke Dock, was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Swansea crown court on December 21.
