RSPCA officers and police carried out a raid on a property at Aberporth yesterday (Thursday, November 22).
A total of 48 dogs, seven quail and five chickens were reported seized by officers under section 18 (5) of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
An RSPCA spokesman said: "The RSPCA has worked with Dyfed-Powys Police and the local authority concerning an incident in Aberporth. This is an on-going investigation and for legal reasons we cannot provide further details."
