A LLECHRYD man has avoided being sent to jail after breaching the terms of a suspended sentence order.

Justin Benjamin Ryan McFee, from Maes y Deri, Llechryd, appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre to admit breaching the community service requirement of an order of 20 weeks imprisonment suspended for two years imposed for burglary by Llanelli magistrates last year.

The 22-year-old admitted missing a meeting with his probation officer without good cause.

Rather than activate the suspended prison sentence, magistrates ordered McFee to carry out 70 hours of unpaid community work, adding 20 hours to the original order. McFee also has to pay £65 costs.
