A 72-YEAR-OLD shoplifter who stole from Cardigan’s Tesco supermarket was in breach of a conditional discharge previously imposed by the courts for criminal damage.
Lawrence Roach Evans, of Gilgal Terrace, Pembroke Dock, stole groceries worth £15.62 from Tesco in Cardigan on June 20.
He was fined £100 after admitting the offence when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
Evans was fined a further £100 for breaching a conditional discharge made by magistrates earlier in the year for damaging five rolls of vinyl tablecloths worth £260 at St Govan’s Shopping Centre, Pembroke Dock.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
