A 46-year-old Cardigan man has been banned from driving for 14 months after tests showed he had been behind the wheel while under the influence of drugs.
Darren Patrick James Murnane, of Ridgeway, was stopped by police while driving a Fiat Stilo on Melin y Dre on May 30.
Tests showed he had 9.8 microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of his blood. Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is the active compound found in cannabis. The legal limit is two microgrammes.
In addition to the road ban, Murnane was fined £150.
He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a further £30 victim surcharge,
