THE remains of a man have been recovered during the search at Belgrave House Hotel, Aberystwyth, which was devastated by a fire in July.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The remains have not yet been identified. The family of the missing Lithuanian man have been informed of this development.
“The coroner has been updated and a Home Office post mortem has been arranged. The search of the scene continues.
“Police are in consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service over this development.”
Twelve people - nine adults and three children - were rescued by firefighters after the blaze broke out at the Ty Belgrave House hotel in Marine Terrace at around 2.20am on July 25.
