A LONG-serving member of Cardigan’s volunteer lifeboat crew has been presented with a special award.
Derek Pusey received his RNLI 20-year long service award from Cardigan Lifeboat Station president Guy Crofts at the recent open day held at the Poppit Sands station. Derek has carried out all his service at the Cardigan station.
The open day itself drew a large crowd with visitors given the chance to get up close to both the D-class and Atlantic-class boats and to have a look behind the scenes and meet the volunteer crew. There was also a barbecue and refreshments available.
