A FORMER mayor of Cardigan is recovering at home after suffering a serious knee injury.
Graham Evans, who recently married his partner and Ceredigion County Councillor Catrin Miles, was a steward during Barley Saturday and had been working all day. He was walking to his home on the road leading to St Dogmaels when he suffered a knee injury.
He was taken to Glangwili Hospital where he underwent surgery for cruciate ligament damage and faces a lengthy spell in plaster.
Cllr Evans missed the mayor-making ceremony at the Guildhall last week and has had to cancel his forthcoming trip to Cardigan’s twin French town Brioude with the twinning committee
