AN arrest warrant has been issued for a New Quay woman who failed to turn up to court to face charges of benefit fraud.
Susan Marion, aged 57, of Gilfachrheda, New Quay, faces two charges of falsely claiming housing benefit from Ceredigion County Council when she had savings in excess of the prescribed limits and of failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances affecting her entitlement to income support.
No plea has yet been entered.
Marion failed to appear before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre and a warrant for arrest without bail was issued by the bench.
