A 19-year-old Llandysul motorist has been banned for 17 months for drink-driving after being more than twice the legal limit.
Samuel Forrester-Evans, from Nantyrefail Fach, Velindre, was stopped by police on the A475 at Llandyfriog on October 27. He had 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Forrester-Evans pleaded guilty when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as a 17-month driving ban, the bench also fined him £120, with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
