A HOMELESS Cardigan teen has admitted punching a cemetery shed window.

Keiran Davies, 19, currently of no fixed abode, appeared from custody at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday (October 31).

He pleaded guilty to damaging a Cardigan shed window belonging to Ceredigion County Council on March 1, and causing £94.80 worth of damage.

Davies also admitted shoplifting energy drinks and sweets from Tesco in October and failing to attend a court hearing in Aberystwyth on October 25.

Jonathan Webb, defending, told the court that Davies had never been in trouble before but was experiencing difficulties and sleeping rough.

“He finds himself in a situation where he is homeless and without family support.”

He added that Davies had caused criminal damage in the cemetery because he was ‘having a bit of a break-down’.

“If he does not get the help that he needs he might start coming back and fore to the court with monotonous regularity.”

Magistrates imposed a nine-month community order with a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £125 in costs and a surcharge.
