AFTER being closed for several weeks for essential renovations the Oxfam charity shop in Cardigan High Street is to re-open this coming Saturday (August 1).
Work has been carried out on basic facilities and the working rooms where volunteers process donations and the interior has been brought into line with new Oxfam shop standards and décor. The frontage is to be revamped later this year.
The branch is trying to recruit more volunteers for processing and till shifts and anyone interested is asked to drop in for a chat on Saturday.
Mayor Cllr John Adams-Lewis is to officially re-launch the shop at 10.30am when there will be an Alice in Wonderland theme with volunteers suitably dressed and offering customers tea as part of a ‘Mad Hatter’s Fairtrade Tea Party'.
