Plans to build 13 social housing homes in a Cardigan cul de sac have been deferred by Ceredigion plans following last minute amendments to the scheme.
Housing association Tai Ceredigion wants to build the small estate on a patch of waste land in Tenby Road.
The original scheme included one bedroom flats and was vehemently opposed by local residents.
But today's development control committee heard that the scheme had now been changed with the one bedroom flats scrapped and replaced with two bedroom houses.
Local councillor John Adams-Lewis said: "This scheme has changed substantially and neither the residents or the town council have had the chance to have a look at it."
The plan was deferred to next month's meeting.
