A young Newcastle Emlyn resident helped introduce The Duchess of Gloucester to the important work of the charity Bobath last week.
Volunteers, staff and service users from Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales received a special visit from Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester GCVO patron of Bobath Wales on Thursday.
During the visit, Her Royal Highness met with Ffion Walters, aged four, of Newcastle Emlyn, who attends Bobath Wales for specialist therapy.
She and another service user Poppy Jones, aged nine, presented The Duchess with flowers and a painting which created by one of the children who attends the centre.
Also present were Ffion's mother Steph and grandfather Dylan, who run Emlyn Friends Of Bobath.
Frank Holmes, chairman of the charity’s trustees said: “I am delighted and honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester back to the centre, we are extremely grateful for her continued involvement and support.”
Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales, is a registered charity that provides specialist Bobath therapy to children in Wales who have cerebral palsy.
