Farmers’ Union of Wales administration director Peter Davies was presented with a Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) Trustee Award at the agricultural charity's recent annual general meeting.
Mr Davies, from Llandysul was honoured for his "many years of dedicated support for RABI in Wales, raising funds and raising awareness of the charity and within the FUW".
The Trustee Awards are presented annually to those people who, in the opinion of the awards panel, should receive special recognition - long service alone is not sufficient.
The Bryn Davies Bowl - awarded to the individual, organisation, company or club in Wales who has made the greatest contribution to RABI - went to the Camarthenshire RABI committee for their "commitment to organising regular events to raise money and spreading the word about the help the charity can offer to those who need it".
The awards were presented by RABI vice president Lord Henry Plumb. FUW president Emyr Jones was among around 200 supporters, regional committee members, trustees and staff who attended the event at Weston Manor, Oxford.
