Eglwyswrw School has won a Bronze Sustainable Schools Award.
Pupils and teachers at the north Pembrokeshire primary school were rewarded for their hard work at a special assembly recently when they were presented with their award by Janie Pridham, Sustainable Schools Co-ordinator.
The pupils have been working on a number of projects throughout the year focusing on waste minimisation, biodiversity and healthy living.
Pupils investigated the effect of landfill sites on the environment and encouraged more recycling at home to reduce their global footprint.
They also learnt about animals and plants and visited habitats in Pentre Ifan and at the Cilgerran Wildlife Centre.
Fifty schools across the County have now won the Bronze Sustainable Schools Award.
The scheme is unique to Pembrokeshire and recognises efforts to improve quality of life and the environment without damaging the planet for future generations.
