Helping others has earned a Fishguard woman a place on the New Year's honours list.
Eileen Bairstow will receive an MBE award in 2007, for her work with Pembrokeshire Counselling Service, which she helped set up 13 years ago.
The service began with four counsellors and Eileen as supervisor; it now has 25 members, a ten member management committee, and covers the whole of Pembrokeshire and part of Ceredigion.
Counsellors deal with a range of issues, such as divorce, financial problems, health and loss of self-esteem.
