Local businesses rallied to the rescue after storms caused damage and disruption across the local area.
Hayday Construction and Roofing was tasked with an urgent call to secure Mydroilyn chapel, after its 150 year-old roof was blown off in Wednesday’s high winds.
They were assisted with materials supplied by Melingoed timber Ltd , TVBS builders merchants and Cardigan Bay Trading.
Darryl Hayday said: “When I got there I couldn’t believe my eyes! it looked like a bomb had gone off! There was debris everywhere and tombstones smashed and buried in slates. It’s so lucky no one was hurt.
“It was the worst storm I have seen in my 30 years of running the business.”
The company received 47 calls for assistance during the day, and worked until dark and from early morning before further high winds hit the county on Friday.
