A FORMER mayor of Cardigan has recalled the great privilege of seeing Nelson Mandela.
Linda Grace was at an event attended by the late South African president.
"One of the most significant experiences in my life time was in a room in the presence of Nelson Mandela.
I felt very privileged and loved it when he said with his life experiences "so you have come to see what a pensioner from the Colonies looks like?". His simplicity, calmness, sense of forgiveness, lack of bitterness and commitment to his beliefs
continues to be inspirational," she said.
