NEWPORT Music Society continues its 2019 season with a prestigious concert by ‘Village Voices’ supported by soloists and piano accompaniment under the direction of composer Sam Howley.
The concert will take place on Sunday, May 12 in Ebenezer Chapel, Lower St Mary Street, Newport and will start at 4pm.
‘Village Voices’ are from South Pembrokeshire and formed the core of the chorus in the seven performances of the UK award winning ‘WW1-A Village Opera’ (composer Sam Howley; librettis Peter George).
The proposed programme for this concert is generous – to include works by Pergolesi, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Faure, Rachmaninoff, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sam Howley; an event definitely not to be missed.
Members and non-members will be welcome. Admission at the door £10 (members £5); students and accompanied children free. Wheelchair friendly venue.
