Fishguard’s community venue, Theatr Gwaun, will be showing the big Christmas blockbuster, right from national release.
From December 12 to 24, at times to suit all the family and with special additional “relaxed” screenings for people with learning disabilities and on the autistic spectrum, Fishguard will be thrilling to all the action of The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies (12A).
The third and final part of Peter Jackson’s epic re-telling of Tolkien’s novel sees our heroes, including the Hobbit himself (Martin Freeman), Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellan) and more famous actors cast as dwarves than you could ever imagine do final battle against the mighty dragon Smaug.
And as if that isn’t enough, the elves we remember from Lord of The Rings, including Hugo Weaving and Cate Blanchet, are doing simultaneous battle against the baddest baddy of them all, Sauron (Christopher Lee). Expect orcs, trolls – and even the odd human in Laketown – as Jackson bows out in spectacular style.
Full timings, and information about all the other Christmas treats at Theatr Gwaun, is available at www.theatrgwaun.com
