THE annual Span Arts Xmas Bonanza is back with more Christmas-time carnival excitement and a pair of amazing bands – Yes Sir Boss and Sounds of Harlowe – on December 6 at the Queens Hall, Narberth.

Kick off the merry months with a fun-packed party, an ideal bash for friends and colleagues: dressing up is encouraged! With wall-to-wall eye-bursting décor, fancy-dress revellers, DJs, live cabaret, retro party games and roving circus performers, it’s always one of the busiest parties of the season.

This year's amazing headliners are Bristol 5-piece Yes Sir Boss, who recently collaborated with Mercury Prize-winning singer-songwriter Joss Stone. Their sound touches on ska, Balkan blues, and horn-injected rock, laced with spaghetti-western basslines and epic riffs.

Loved by BBC Radio 1’s Rob Da Bank, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, and BBC Worldwide’s Dave Robinson, they’re described in the national press as “a horn-blasting six piece with family-friendly rhythms and infectious guitars,” and Clash Magazine dub them “a strikingly splendid live band”

Support comes from Bath-based Sounds of Harlowe, who also have roots in Pembrokeshire! The hip-hop and soul collective have had a breakthrough year performing in front for crowds of 2000 and more, releasing their debut EP and performing alongside The Hoosiers, Devlin, Aluna George and Gentlemen’s Dub Club.

Tickets are £10, £8 concessions, and there’s a special Span Arts member price of £6 for this event only. Tickets are available from the Span Arts box office, online at span-arts.org.uk or call 01834 869323. Doors open at 7.30pm.
