Sallis Ronwy Cynfyn Hughes ( Ronnie Sallis ) Peacefully at Fairfield Nursing Home, Johnston, on Friday January 10th, Ronnie of Milestone Stores, Llechryd sadly passed away aged 88. He will be sadly missed by family and the local community. Public funeral service at Llechryd Cemetery on Saturday January 18th at 1:30pm, for further enquires to the Funeral Director Mr Peter Evans 01239615266

Our condolences to the family of the late Ronnie sallis, a very nice and pleasant gentleman who I remember from my childhood. Always very welcoming and always polite and the shop was always a delight to walk into and a piece of local history as it was the last of its kind when I was growing up. He will always be fondly remembered. Linda Kenyon ( nee Phillips) and family.

To the family of Ronwy:
My father (Tom Sallis) and Ronwy were 2nd cousins and as a child (in the 1950/60's) I recall we always stopped into Milestone Stores on our way to and from St Dogmaels where my grandfather, David Sallis had a bungalow. When I semi retired I bought a house in Cilgerran and again started to visit Ronnies store for a chat and groceries. It was always a pleasure to chat to him. And everyone I have met in Cilgerran knew him and says what a character and gentleman he was. Unfortunately my wife and I will be unable to attend the funeral service as we will be in London for my sons birthday. Please accept my condolences on behalf of myself, my sister (Ruth Sallis) and my family.
