The final race in Cardigan Running Club's 5k series took place last week on August 13, next to the shoreline of Poppit Sands.
A total of 170 runners participated despite dreary weather conditions.
Of these, 78 completed the junior 2km race and 92 adults embraced the 5km event which saw runners complete two laps of Poppit Sands.
The winner of the junior 2km boys' race was Alex Ladd at 8.43 minutes, followed by Gethin Thomas at 8.51 minutes and Noah Harries at 9.07 minutes.
The top girls were Mabli King, Lily Thomas and Evelyn Eadon, clocking in at 9.20, 10.24 and 10.26 minutes respectively.
In the Adult 5k, Dylan Lewis emerged victorious at an impressive 18 minutes, with Benjamin Clague and Nicholas Latham in second and third, finishing at 18.10 and 18.14 minutes respectively.
Among the females, Hannah Knight returned to take the first spot at 20.26 minutes, followed by Nerys Jones (21.05 minutes) and Sophia Barker (21.17 minutes).
This marked a series hat-trick for Dylan Lewis from Sarn Helen Runners, and a triumphant return for Hannah Knight, who came in as first female across the line, just like in last year's third run of the series.
During the event, the club donated £1,000 to Cardigan Cancer Care, which was raised from a 30-hour running challenge held in June.
Looking ahead, the club’s next event is the Mayors 10km run, scheduled for November 3 in Cardigan.
