St Dogmaels warmed up for their Easter Monday League Cup semi-final against Llanboidy at Newcastle Emlyn on Wednesday with a thumping 8-0 league win away against Llandysul.

The Teifi Estuary high-flyers are also going for Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies and Bay Cup this season, and appear to be hitting form at the right time.

Saints went into the game without influential midfielder Rhys Jones who was serving a one-match ban, but despite the absence of Jones his colleagues were streets ahead of opponents in the lower reaches of the table.

Peter Almond was back in the fold with Saints after an absence of some seasons, after moving away from the area, and the lively striker, now in his mid-30’s showed up well and got on the scoresheet in the second half.

Louis Harding led the way with a hat-trick for the Saints, who were 2-0 up at the interval, with Adam Williams  and Robbie Jenkins also scoring two goals each as they moved up into second spot in the league.

Leaders Llanboidy came unstuck on their Cae Dandre stamping ground when going down 3-1 against full-of-fight Crannog, despite taking the lead when Emyr Lewis fired home.

The coastal villagers hit back in style with three second half goals through Robbie Evans and a Rhys Davies penalty and an own goal for a deserved win.

Lampeter Town won for the seventh time in 13 outings when overcoming battling basement boys New Quay 1-0 at North Road, where central midfielder Terry Witts got the all-important goal during the first half.

In a relegation battle, full of drama at Llanddwi Brefi home side Dewi Stars emerged 7-0 winners over Cardigan Town.

Stars went ahead early on when midfielder Steffan Owen found the net and that’s how it remained until drama unfolded in the second period.
As the visitors appeared to lose discipline, referee Dominic Ferris showed the red card to defender Callum Williams and soon afterwards sent off midfielder Brooklyn Williams.
Gethin Thomas netted twice from the penalty spot for the Stars, and the other marksmen were Rupert Geddes, Rhodri Edwards and Tomos Jones.

Unbeaten division two leaders Llechryd made the short journey to Cardigan pay dividends when springing a 6-0 win over Maesglas at Maes Radley.

Attacking livewire Luke James-Raymond led the way for the visitors with a well-taken hat-trick and the other goals came via Jack Everton, Cory Leonard-Davies and Josh Grota.

Bottom side Aberporth were 4-0 winners over Llandysul Reserves at Penparc. Mickey Jones bagged a brace, with Iwan Davies and Reece Prowse and Iwan Davies also netting.

Connor Timms scored twice as Pencader United beat visitors Aberaeron Reserves 4-0, with Joe Rossetti and Ben Sears als scoring goals.

St Dogmaels Reserves won 5-2 against Crannog Reserves  in Llangrannog where the visiting goals came through Josh Verral (2), Tommy Furbear (2) and Leon James, with Dan Robinson and Johnny Hickin replying.

In division three, Cardigan Reserves lost 3-2 to Llanboidy Reserves, who scored through Ryan Pearce, Christopher Bowen and Dion Morgan, with Mallt Maskell and Dion James on target for the homesters.
