RE-APPOINTED Costcutter Football League club Llandysul manager Chris ‘Coco’ Davies is exuding confidence and eager to start the new season.
In his first spell at Llandysul Park, the ex-Carmarthen Stars boss led the Swallows to the Costcutter title for the first time in nearly 70 years and in the same season, the Teifisiders captured the J Emrys Morgan Cup.
There has been most encouraging turn-outs at training with a crop of promising youngsters vying for first team places.
Happy to be back in the hot seat, the manager said he was hoping to bring in a few players this week, but was not prepared to give any names at this stage.
Looking forward to the challenges ahead he said: “It has gone very well in pre-season training and I hope to bring things together very shortly.
“With the likes of St Dogmaels, Cardigan Town, Crannog and Lampeter Town, it is a tough league and our aim must be to compete with the best,” he added.
