JUST over three years after standing down, Chris ‘Coco’ Davies has been re-appointed first team manager of Costcutter League club Llandysul.

The most successful supremo in the Teifi Valley club’s history, he guided the Swallows to their first league title in 69 years in season 2016-17.

In the same season, Llandysul lifted the J Emrys Morgan Cup after a thrilling final against Powys high-flyers Waterloo Rovers, the Teifisiders taking the verdict in a 4-2 penalty shootout.

Since his first stint at Llandysul Park, the popular boss, who in his playing days turned out for Goodwick United and Pembrokeshire, has been in charge at Carmarthen Stars in the Carmarthenshire League.

Looking forward to his return in the Costcutter he said: “I have got a few players ready to sign but I’d rather not name them at this stage.

“I’m looking forward to working with a lot of talented young players at Llandysul and who knows, we could emerge as a threat to champions St Dogmaels.”
