AS football competitions throughout Wales ended prematurely due to the coronavirus, it was the third time for the local league to be uncompleted.
And on the second and third occasions St Dogmaels were crowned champions.
With all football activity suspended since March, the Football Association of Wales cancelled the remainder of the campaign with league placings finalised via an unweighted ‘points-per-game’ method.
Long-time leaders Saints were nine points clear of their rivals and declared champions, ahead of Cardigan Town and Newcastle Emlyn.
In season 1950-51, there was difficulty fulfilling fixtures in what was then known as the Cardiganshire Football League and it all petered out without being brought to fruition.
The other occasion was in 1965-66 when the league ran out of time and there was no provision for an extension, leaving a vitally important game between Lampeter Town and St Dogmaels at North Road.
At the next league annual general meeting, special dispensation was granted for the fixture to go ahead at the start of season 1966-67 and Saints romped it 7-1 to keep the title at School Field.
