The cutting is thought to date to 1953
LAURA Williams has shared an old newspaper cutting with us from the Tivyside on behalf of her dad George Griffiths, Llwynffynnon Penrhiwllan. He is in the picture that was featured in the Tivyside in what the family think was August 1953. Laura said: “Dad missed out on the winners medals as he went off to do his National Service with REME serving in Egypt.”
