Cardigan ABC's Garan Croft receives the best boxer of the night trophy from former world title challenger Colin Jones following his recent win at Gorseinon
CARDIGAN ABC's Garan Croft was awarded the best boxer of the night trophy after picking up his second senior win at the Pengry Workingmen's Club in Gorseinon.
The Crymych 18-year-old earned a unanimous points decision over former Welsh senior champion Levi Griffiths (Cwmavon Hornets).
Croft immediately got straight to work with his jab, before letting go with some very effective right hands.
Vigilant throughout, Garan kept the pressure on, although his experienced opponent's constant holding prevented the Cardigan teenager from unleashing his favourite left hook to the body.
Croft flew to Finland this week to compete in the GeeBee tournament in Helsinki.
