A major achievement in Welsh darts history is a possibility after Cardigan & District League leaders Tafarn Yr Oen ended the first half of the season on top of the pile and on course for an unprecedented tenth title on the bounce.

And what is more the Lamb Inn-based high-flyers have tasted defeat on only one occasion during a decade of domination.

After sweeping aside Morlan on their opponents’ Aberporth oche Tafarn skipper Jamie Bowen said: “The players have undoubtedly raised the bar in this neck of the woods and I honestly believe we are capable of competing with any team in Wales.

“Anyone is welcome to take us on.”
