Costcutter League club Llandysul has appointed a new first team manager who started his tenure with a thumping win at the weekend.
Since previous boss Gwynfor Edwards departed last month to take over at Mid Wales League club Carno, the Swallows have been anxious to find a replacement.
Now they have appointed former club striker Gareth Winston to take over the hot seat and he is relishing the task.
The 37-year-old former front-runner, who lives at Llangain, Carmarthen, was in charge on Saturday when Llandysul reached round four of the J Emrys Morgan Cup with a 5-0 win over visitors Maesglas of Division Two.
Looking forward to the challenge Winston said “This is a friendly club with a large number of local players and an excellent youth policy.
“I will do everything I can to improve the club and hopefully challenge for honours,” he said.
