The draw for round three of the J Emrys Morgan Cup will involve last season’s beaten finalists and Costcutter League champions St Dogmaels making a long journey into Powys.

Saints, who were given a walkover in the previous round when former winners Llanfair United Reserves pulled out of the tie at School Field, make the 160-mile round trip to the Llandrindod Wells area to tackle Penybont United of the Mid Wales League South.

Saints will not have happy memories of United who beat the Teifi Estuary villagers in the 2011-2012 final.

If semi-finalists last term Lampeter Town can dispose of Newtown Wanderers in a round two tie at North Road this Saturday they will visit Division Two leaders New Quay who lifted the trophy in 2011.

Winners in 1992-93 Dewi Stars, who reached round three with a 2-1 win over Powys visitors Felindre, have another home tie when hosting Aberaeron Reserves.

Runners-up on two occasions Crannog will be at home against three-time winners Newcastle Emlyn if the coastal villagers can get past Llanrhaeadr Reserves at the Urdd Centre.

The only club to notch back-to-back triumphs Maesglas, who did the trick in the 1980’s, take on Maesyrhandir of Powys at Maes Radley this weekend with the winners at home against Llandysul who captured the trophy two seasons ago when beating Berriew Reserves in the final.

Ffostrasol travel to the Welshpool area on Saturday for a round two clash with Waterloo Rovers Reserves with the winners at home against Aberystwyth-based holders Penparcau Reserves.

After walloping Dolgellau Reserves 9-0 in round two unbeaten Cardigan Town are again on their travels when visiting Aberystwyth to take on Padarn United while Bargod Rangers have been drawn against Penrhyncoch Reserves at Parc Puw.
