A place in round three of the WRU Plate – for clubs in divisions one and two throughout Wales – is the aim of Newcastle Emlyn and Crymych this weekend.

Emlyn have been on fire from the start of the season in League 1 West with four straight wins and a much-changed Red and Whites side brushed aside fellow leaguers Hendy in the first round.

The Emlyn coaches could again ring the changes for the visit of League 2 West side Nantgaredig who were given a walkover in round one when Loughor failed to fulfil the fixture and are currently fourth in the league after three successes and one defeat.

Crymych visit League 1 West rivals Llangennech, a side the Preselimen beat comfortably on the opening day of the campaign.

In the first round Crymych overcame Fishguard while Llangennech won 39-19 at Burry Port and are currently fourth in the table with Crymych in sixth.
