There was a major upset during the second week of fixtures in the Cardigan & District Pool League when reigning champions and perennial title challengers Lamb A went down 6-4 against the Bell who have not won the championship since season 1991-92.

The real fireworks were reserved for the deciding doubles confrontation when Bell skipper Daniel Topping and landlord Neil Leonard took on Welsh international brothers Scott and Lee Davies.

Leading by example Topping achieved a brilliant 8-ball clearance from the break to clinch a memorable victory.

Lee Davies of Lamb also pulled off an 8-baller against Neil Leonard.

Champions of two years ago Red Lion make the early running with Rugby Club a point behind in second and Lamb A in third.
