The draw for round two of the J Emrys Morgan Cup involving four leagues across the Central Wales FA area has thrown up a plum tie between St Dogmaels and Llanfair United Reserves in the north Pembrokeshire village next month.

Costcutter League champions Saints went down 3-0 against Aberystwyth outfit Penparcau in last season’s final at Penrhyncoch while visitors Llanfair who ply their trade in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur League Division One lifted the coveted trophy when beating Llandysul in the 2015-16 final.

Winners two seasons ago Newcastle Emlyn have been drawn at home against Division Two newcomers Crymych while the only club to successfully defend the trophy, Maesglas, currently in Division Two, take on Maesyrhandir of the JT Hughes Division One at Maes Radley in Cardigan.

Llandysul who captured the trophy three seasons ago have been drawn at home against Newcastle of the Mid Wales League South; winners in 2014-15 Cardigan Town are away against Dolgellau Reserves of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League Division Two who lifted the cup in season 2001-2002.

Lampeter Town who were kingpins in season 2013-14 when beating Llanrhaeadr Reserves have a home tie against Newtown Wanderers.

In season 2010-11 New Quay beat Llanrhaeadr Reserves in the final and in round two the Seasiders are at home against Llanfechain of the JT Hughes Division Two while Llanboidy face a round trip of 140 miles to deepest Powys where they tackle Trefonen of the JT Hughes Division One.

As holders Penparcau are exempt until the next stage.
