Clwb Rhwyfo Llangrannog Rowing Club recently hosted their annual regatta as part of the Welsh Sea Rowing Association, South League.
A total of 184 rowers attended from Aberporth, Aberaeron, Borth, Aberystwyth, St Dogmaels Newport, Fishguard, Wisemans Bridge, Llangwm, Llanion, Neyland, PYC (Pembrokeshire Yatch Club), Tywi, Mumbles and Barry rowing clubs.
Llangrannog crew competed in following events - Ladies (two crews), Senior Men (two crews), Under 14 Crew (two crews in participation race), Under 16 Junior Boys (one crew first in category) and a Novice Crew (one crew second in category).
The club would like to thank all safety boat crew who assisted with the organisation of the day, the RNLI lifeguards at Llangrannog the Pentre Arms who provided the after rowing food, along with the other businesses in the village for their constant support to the rowing club.
Llangrannog Rowing Club Celtic Challenge Crew will appear on BBC UK on Monday, July 29, at 7.30pm between the One Show and EastEnders. A 30-minute programme called ‘Taking on the Irish Sea’ is part of the series of 12 programmes Our Lives, a programme following members of a club from all walks of life, taking on the Irish Sea.
