Cardigan and in particular brothers Kevin and Colin James stole the limelight in the four-day Ceredigion Bowling Association finals at Aberaeron.

Welsh International Kevin James successfully defended his Open Singles title and in the process set a record by winning for the third year on the trot.

Lampeter kingpin Nick Randell was expected by many to push the south of the county star, but in the event he did not mount a serious challenge to the champ who romped home by 21 shots to six.

James joined elder brother Colin, the current Cardigan BC captain, to win the Open Pairs for the second year in succession by beating Lampeter duo Andrew Williams and Henry Jones 21-13.
